Midwest's Biggest Resort Could Be Getting Biggers - Let's Breakdown their EIS

Lutsen Mountains is already the biggest ski resort in the Midwest, boasting 95 runs, but that number may be getting even bigger.

Lutsen has spent the past few years working on an expansion using a SUP (Special Use Permit) from the Superior National Forest that would almost double their size.

On September 9, 2021, the Forest Service published their Environmental Impact Study (EIS) draft to the public and opened a 45 day feedback period for the general public. In the video above, we briefly break down the different alternatives and what an expansion at Lutsen could look like in the future.

After watching the video, if you would like to review the draft in its entirety, you can do so by clicking here.

Additionally, please be sure to submit your feedback to the Forrest Service before October 25, 2021. Click here to submit your feedback.
